Artists in Bloom

After 20 years in the hair industry, Hilaire established Bloom Salon + Studio in 2016.  Her goal was to create an atmosphere that makes each and every guest feel welcomed and renewed. Trained in the latest techniques and trends as well as those time honored classics that never go out of style, she doesn't just want you to leave looking good, she wants you to feel good too. "Taking care of the whole person in our chair is what makes us special." That is the vision of Bloom Salon + Studio and the passion that drives owner and stylist, Hilaire Phillips.

Shaunte is a local product of Kansas City. An innovative stylist with 18 years experience, she has been with Bloom Salon since the beginning and has a passion for creating beautiful styles.

Her education includes graduating from both House of Heavilin with a cosmetology license and Adam & Eve with a nail technician license. She is a licensed instructor, meaning she has the ability to have an apprentice and educate them to become a stylist.

Shaunte has done many things in the beauty industry including being an educator for the hair taming system Global Keratin Hair.  She traveled to various salons teaching them how to use the GKHair systems as well as performing platform work for them.

Shaunte loves the art of hair. She enjoys working with texture, creating precision cuts and creative coloring techniques to enhance and individuals overall style. She periodically works on photo shoots doing hair extensions and formal styles.

She is also very active in may different philanthropic organizations, including Fashion Honors Autism and The Pierson Project, as well as walking the runway when given the opportunity.
